Core Setup
Core Item Build
Items
- The Bones of Rathma set adds a total of 29,750% damage bonus to Army of the Dead when you have 17 minions active. 7 come from Command Skeletons and 10 from Revive. Theoretically this can be boosted to 31,500% with Command Golem, although that’s impractical. Skeletal Mages don’t work for this set bonus.
- Jesseth Arms gives you a massive 400% damage bonus that synergizes well with the Command Skeletons you’re already using.
- Fate’s Vow is the core Army of the Dead item, giving a 250% additive damage bonus to that skill and enabling the Unconventional Warfare rune for all setups, improving single target damage.
- Bonds of C’Lena give another 100% damage increase and allow Army of the Dead to deal 50% extra damage to a single target.
- Funerary Pick gives us a 200% bonus multiplier with Siphon Blood Power Shift and another 300% or 600% multiplicative bonus against 1-3 targets.
- Krysbin’s Sentence is a staple in every Necromancer build, adding either 100% when the enemy is slowed or 300% damage when stunned (activated by Bone Armor Dislocation).
- Captain Crimson’s Trimmings give more Cooldown Reduction, toughness and provide extra damage.
- Ring of Royal Grandeur is required to make the two sets work together.
- Squirt’s Necklace provides up to 100% damage bonus if you haven’t taken damage recently.
- Convention of Elements is a great DPS boost, giving up to 200% damage bonus when abilities are timed correctly.
Introduction
RathmaArmy of the Dead Solo Push
While the Bones of Rathma set gave the name to the famous ‘Rat Runs’ (and the ‘Rat Necro’) that have been dominating the XP META almost entirely since the introduction of the class in Season 11, it was reworked for Army of the Dead in Season 23. The build revolves around summoning a bunch of minions that reset your Army of the Dead cooldown very quickly through the Bones of Rathma (2) Bonus, which you use to mow down enemies. Instead of the 120 seconds cooldown this ability usually has, you are able to cast it once every few seconds to keep up a near continuous stream of damage. This build is relatively slow, extremely Cooldown-hungry and has little toughness, all of which makes it difficult to play. On the other hand it rewards you with massive damage and works as a formidable Rift Guardian Killer (RGK). This role was further enhanced by the Season 27 update that reworked Funerary Pick, which consolidated the many different variants into pretty straightforward, similar playstyles around Siphon Blood. The core guide describes the solo push variant but you can find all of the variants further below.
Flavorful Impactful nukeAn army of minions Good AoE & single target
Very squishy Pet dependent Lack of mobility Cooldown dependent
Tier #2
Although the pirates’ glory days are behind them, they did not flee to land. Like many other archetypes from the frozen isles, they prayed to Svalblod for help, and he came. Successfully eliminating any threat on your opponent’s table can only lead to a win. Throw away fear, enlist on a ship and go for glory.
Import deck
Saint Gregory fits perfectly into the Cleric-pack, giving us an opportunity to make up to 40 balanced points with one play in a long round. Whoreson Junior, Drill and poisons provides some strong control tools, while bronze cards are just playing themselves.
Import deck
The deck has good pointslam, having great engines as Nekurat, Garkain, and Fleder growing fast. Incubus is the MVP here for resurrecting our engines once again. There is not much control so the deck is vulnerable to greedy decks and much heavier engines than them, though it’s easy to win round 1 and push opponents out of those.
Import deck
Who doesn’t like the well-known thrive? The deck has gained several significant units that will effectively strengthen both Larva and the Koshchey itself. So we can confidently play them in a long round, but if needed, Mourntart and Ozzrel alone will win the short final round.
Import deck
Known to all for its effectiveness, the deck led by Idarran returns to the ladder. If the opponent doesn’t leave the game, he will be struggling with our reaver units for the next rounds, which will end with complete domination on our side. Leave the rest to the reavers and watch the world burn…
Import deck
This list should be familiar to everyone by now but the general plan is to get good cards from Temple, use it to boost Prince Anseis, and build carry-over with Mutagenerator with Erland as the payoff card.
Import deck
An extremely pleasant and easy-to-use deck. The base is the classic swarm. However, this one has more control and focuses on two big finishers in the form of Tatterwing and Morvudd.
Import deck
Tier #3
Beasts of stormy waters shaped up as a really enjoyable pointslam. The real queen – Melusine – returned to the ladder. Surrounded by monsters from the depths of the sea, no opponent is safe from them.
Import deck
Tremble before the fury, rage and axes of Skellige warriors. These experienced veterans get stronger each round to crush the opponent in a long round 3. Thanks to some inspirational characters like Tyr or Harald you can even bring dead warriors back. What are you waiting for? Sharpen your axe and get on the raid.
Import deck
The queen of the Mahakam caves appeared again. A slightly forgotten deck has arrived on the ladder, where it may turn out to be not only a surprise for the opponent, but also quite a threat.
Import deck
One of the most fun and effective archetype to play on ladder is back. Thanks to the new organic cards, we are also able to generate a carryover in this archetype, and new insects as well as previously known reworks can incredibly effectively control the course of the duel. It is not an easy deck to use, but it rewards the patient ones.
Import deck
Renfri is still keeping her place in the meta, might not be the strongest right now but definitely she is not the weakest. Crush your enemies in a long round with Triss: Meteor Shower, or just keep some steam for round 3 and win either with Renfri or Ramon and Nauzicaa Sergeants.
Import deck
Harmony still has a punch, even after Saskia’s double nerf. Now we are presenting you the changed leader in addition of Quaraxis. Call of Harmony might be greedier than Guerilla Tactics but it’s funnier and have bigger highroll potential.
Import deck
An alternative for people who prefer this leader rather than Guerilla. The pattern is probably well known to everyone – we do not leave any key card on the opponent’s table and watch him slowly losing duel with every passing minute.
Import deck
Something for fans of the syndicate, but not necessarily loyal ones. The Decree adds more stability to the deck, making it easier to select key cards. Flying Redanian is also helpful, as it effectively reduces the number of cards in the deck.
Import deck
Ixora and her crimes are not enough control? Maybe we’ll add heatwave? That’s better? Don’t thank me. Spend coins, destroy your opponent’s cards and enjoy their defeat.
Import deck
Play the Viy. Eat the Viy. Repeat.

Season 29 Paragon Cap
Season 29 brings several features, first the brand new Visions of Enmity mechanic. They are an optional and rewarding mini dungeon system where players slay monsters in quick succession of portals. These portals have a chance to spawn upon killing any monster in the open world and they hide many rewards for you to reap! Read the full guide on the Visions of Enmity Mechanics by Chewingnom to learn everything about this fantastic feature!
As if it wasn’t enough, Season 29 also shakes things up with a Paragon Cap and a Paragon Distribution Twist! You can only assign a total of 800 Paragon Points to your character. Previously, you were only able to assign a total of 50 Paragon Points to each attribute within the Core, Defense, Offense and Utility categories, but now you can assign up to 200 in each attribute. Each category can only have 200 Paragon Points placed into them.
This forces you to make choices while also enabling crazy possibilities such as 200% Area Damage or 40% Cooldown Reduction! Note that Movement Speed now only grants 0.125% per point but can also go above the 25% Movement Speed cap from items. With that in mind, here is the Paragon Distribution you should follow for the build described in the main sections of the guide. Variants may differ, see below.
Season 29 Paragon Distribution
Summary
- Put together the core items and acquire the full Bones of Rathma set.
- Keep Jesseth Arms up at all times using Command Skeletons.
- Tread carefully at the start of a run when you don’t have Bone Armor and the damage reduction from the 4-piece bonus.
- Use Army of the Dead to mow down enemies during the Physical Convention of Elements cycle.
- Summon 10 Revive minions as soon as possible when you first produce corpses.
- Use the power of Funerary Pick for more damage and an even bigger boost on single targets.
The Bones of Rathma has a unique playstyle and can be a great change of pace from other builds if you overcome it’s main weakness of being very squishy. Just don’t get hit, good luck!

Accordingly, the DpS classes for M+ in WoW (buy now) Patch 10.2 are broken down as follows. S tier is the best, D tier is the worst.
S-Tier (absolute top)
Havoc Demon Hunter Amplifier Caller Outlaw Rogue
A-Tier (also very good)
Assassination RogueFeral DruidBeast Mastery HunterSurvival HunterDevastation CallerElemental ShamanAmplifying ShamanUnholy Death KnightBalance Druid
B+-Tier (good, but no longer “meta”)
Deception RogueRetaliation Paladin
B-Tier
Affliction WarlockDemonology WarlockArcane MageFire MageFrost MageFrost Death KnightFury WarriorShadow Priest
C-Tier
D-Tier
Destruction Warlock Marksmanship Hunter Wind Runner Monk
According to Gingi, the days of the so-called “God Comp” (fire mage, shadow priest and reinforcement caller) are over, but the supporting caller is still at the forefront despite nerfs. Things don’t seem to be looking quite so good for the three magician playing styles – and Gingi, as the magician main, can apparently judge that well.
The M+ professional determines his assignment to the different tier levels not only based on the DpS numbers, but also on the utility and defensive skills that the classes bring with them.
The winners are the Lawlessness Rogue and the Devastation Demon Hunter. The M+ meta for Season 3 of WoW also looks as if melee fighters will dominate the front ranks. Given extremely movement-intensive fights like against Morchie in Dawn of the Eternal, this makes sense.
In the team composition for M+, he currently sees the Guardian Druid as a tank at the top. As I said, remember that this tier list is not set in stone and is “only” the opinion of an M+ expert. You will also be able to master the usual +15 to +20 keystones with any other combination of DpS classes.

WoW: Hotfixes from October 3, 2023 for Hardcore Classic and Dragonflight NPCs
On the holiday, Blizzard rolled out hotfixes to the Hardcore Classic, WotLK Classic and Dragonflight live servers. Here are the patch notes:
The best Mythic Plus comp for WoW Season 3 could also bring protection warriors to the fore, who support the melee fighters with battle cries. A Brewmaster Monk with Mystic Touch also fits well in a Melee group. Between all the melee fighters there are animal mastery hunters and balance druids, who can also cause a lot of damage while moving.

ConceptThis setup uses Dead Storm to automatically deal damage around you after casting it. The idea is to run very fast keeping it up all the time to vaporize everything in your path. To achieve this, Messerschmidt’s Reaver is included because we have more than enough damage. Stack up extra Pickup Radius where possible to increase the radius of Briggs’ Wrath with Aura of Frailty.GameplaySummon all your minions, keep up Command Skeletons at all times and use Army of the Dead Dead Storm to kill all enemies around you. Move quickly from pull to pull to ensure smooth cooldown resets.
Season 29 Paragon
SetupsIf you are overkilling everything easily and feel comfortable without the extra Cooldown Reduction, replace Captain Crimson’s Trimmings with Goldwrap and Steuart’s Greaves for invincibility and more speed. In groups, run the same setup but cube Nemesis Bracers instead of the Boots and wear Avarice Band instead of Briggs’ Wrath. Without the Ring you can also replace Frailty with Devour Devouring Aura combined with Fueled by Death for more speed.
Army of the Dead GR Solo Speeds
ConceptThis variation is very close to the solo push setup described in the main sections of the guide. The main difference is that we prioritize Area Damage less and Cooldown Reduction more and try to play around Squirt’s Necklace as much as possible. Farm GR tiers that you can complete in around 3 minutes and where the Rift Guardian dies in 1-2 casts. GameplayActivate Bone Armor right at the start and carefully kill the first 10 enemies for Revive. Keep up Jesseth Arms at all times. Stack up Power Shift and target the biggest enemies in a pull after you released Army of the Dead.Stay at a safe distance and let your minions tank for you. Right before you pull enemies together with Death Valley, move in for Bone Armor Dislocation to boost your Krysbin’s Sentence effect as you start your nuke. Try to use Rathma’s Shield to your advantage whenever it’s ready. You can rush in and do a way more powerful nuke while keeping up Squirt’s Necklace.
Season 29 Paragon
SetupsIf you cannot survive at all, replace Zei’s Stone of Vengeance with Gogok of Swiftness, Bane of the Powerful or Molten Wildebeest’s Gizzard.
Army of the Dead GR Solo Push
ConceptThis is the setup described in the main sections of the guide. We stack large amounts of Cooldown Reduction and Area Damage to time our nukes around the Physical Convention of Elements cycle. For more information on how to optimize your push attempts, check the Revive entry in the further below.GameplayActivate Bone Armor right at the start and carefully kill the first 10 enemies for Revive. Keep up Jesseth Arms at all times. Stack up Power Shift and target the biggest targets in a pull after you released Army of the Dead. Try to use Rathma’s Shield to your advantage whenever it’s ready. You can rush in and do a way more powerful nuke while keeping up Squirt’s Necklace.
Season 29 Paragon
SetupsIf you cannot survive at all, replace Zei’s Stone of Vengeance with Gogok of Swiftness or Molten Wildebeest’s Gizzard. Alternatively, switch your armor gems to Flawless Royal Ruby or Flawless Royal Emerald for more armor.
Army of the Dead RGK
ConceptThis setup works similar to the solo push version, but you don’t contribute much until the boss spawns. Instead, you assist the team by trying to pull enemies from all directions and using Frailty Early Grave instead of Bone Armor. As a Rift Guardian Killer we run without Area Damage.GameplayWait for your team to defeat the first enemies, then summon your Revives. Help them out as much as you can by aggroing monsters from around the area and applying your Curse on everything. When it’s your time to DPS, activate Jesseth Arms with Command Skeletons. Stack up Power Shift and target the biggest targets in a pull after you released Army of the Dead. Coordinate with your team so that they can apply a stun for your Krysbin’s Sentence. On bosses, try to dodge incoming attacks to keep up Squirt’s Necklace.
Season 29 Paragon
SetupsIf you cannot survive at all, stay closer to your team to better profit from their party buffs until the boss spawns. If toughness is a problem for the whole party, replace Frailty with Decrepify Wither.

Use skill 3 (Spear of Destruction) to finish off the enemy and it can help your snowballing process. Always remember to use skill 3 first when starting a team fight.
Tactics:
Early game (level 1-7): Focus on farming to earn gold and build core items.
Mid game (level 8-12): Never forget to initiate a teamfight by using your ultimate. Consider the goals like turrets, lords, and turtles. To obtain even more turrets, you can try split pushing; just keep an eye on the map at all times.
Late game (level 13+): Stay in a favorable spot during a 5v5 teamfight so you can damage their frontline while taking out their backlines.

More cool stuff coming still this year so please follow Us on and discord to get updates.
The Scoia’tael offer us what they could boast about in the last few seasons and are at their full strength. We have very good control decks for Guerilla and Precision Strike as leaders. It is undoubtedly a good choice for players who value board control. But that’s not all! There is still a very good Harmony with the scenario, and under the snow, the Symbiosis has not disappeared.
In the Nilfgaardian Empire, not much has changed. Despite the nerfs this faction received, Renfri Imperial Formation is still a good deck. However, Assimilation is leading the way, and we probably won’t part with it anytime soon. Is that a good thing? In my opinion, it is..Skellige has a few beloved archetypes. Fans of control Pirates should still enjoy the deck, but there is also something for the relatively new Beast archetype. Rage of the Sea was missing from our Snapshots. I’m glad we can highlight this leader in the latest release.Monsters have stable and strong decks to offer. There are even two decks with Swarm (about which you can still learn something here), which is my favorite archetype of this faction. Vampires, from which I started my Gwent adventure, are also on the list, and I know that many of you also have a fondness for this archetype. In the Northern Realms, two decks stand out above the others. Both on the same leader but so different from each other. Fans of the charming troll should be happy. This archetype is just as strong as before. For those who like a strong finisher, we recommend the deck with Priestess. Revenants are also a good choice, but not as effective as the ones mentioned earlier.Syndicate enthusiasts also have no reason to worry. The two most popular decks of recent seasons remain in the meta. Personally, I recommend the devotion versions, which have always had a special place in my heart. Count your coins twice before you spend them, and when you do spend them, do so in moderation… or maybe not at all?We hope everyone finds something for themselves. The choice of decks is extensive. Have fun and see you on the ladder!
